Practical Balance offers a root-to-crown approach to balance, which includes physical awareness, emotional stability, personal strength, ignited passion, self-expression, inspired vision, and spiritual connection.
Sara Shields is board certified as a Holistic Registered Nurse, specializing in expressive arts and energy healing. She holds a Masters Degree in Health Arts & Sciences from Goddard College, and is completing a Doctorate in Creativity Studies. Since 2001, Sara has led teams of nurses and social workers who care for underserved patients in the Detroit Area. Currently, she is the Executive Director at Team Wellness Center, where she advocates for making holistic health education and wellness tools accessible to patients in the mental health system.
Sara teaches her clients and employees that the head, heart, and body are energetically connected and that by using simple, practical self-care techniques to balance energy, healthier living can be achieved. As a provider of individual and group health education, Sara has developed a method of holistic coaching to help her clients become aware of the blockages in their lives that create physical, mental, and spiritual dissatisfaction; and then uses motivational techniques to assist clients in setting goals to move past the blockages to engage in lives that bring fulfillment.
Sara provides holistic coaching and chakra education in the Detroit area, and virtually with clients throughout the United States. She has also developed professional workshops and training on her chakra coaching method, holistic wellness, mental health, the expressive arts in healthcare, and holistic healthcare leadership.
